November SensatioNail Colors

SensatioNail is celebrating Autumn with these beautiful colors for the  month of November.

From left to right is Taupe Tulips, Tag Me Taupe, In the Shade, After Five and Miss Behave

SensatioNail is also celebrating with some giveaways!
They asked us ambassadors to create manicures using November's colors, showing off a fall-themed photo inspired by our favorite thing about autumn.
They will share one photo per day on Instagram leading up to Black Friday, and you get a chance to win a starter kit and the colors used in the manicures they show off that day.
Speaking of Black Friday, they will also be having a Black Friday sale, starting November 25th-November 30th, Starter Kits will be 30% off.
My nails are featured in the Ad, how exciting!

I decided to create a manicure inspired by the cooler weather we start to get in the fall.
I love cozy sweaters and it was the first thing that came to mind when I was thinking about what sort of design I would do. I think these colors would make a great striped sweater!

I started with a base of Taupe Tulips, cured it, then added three pieces of striping tape across my nail, I used Tag Me Taupe at the tips of the my nails, In the Shade is used in the larger sections and a thin stripe of Miss Behave, I cured again, removed the tape and then I decided to use the gel matte top coat to soften the whole look.

I also decided to wear In The Shade on its own for a few days and as you scroll down you will see what I did to dress it up a bit. I really love this chocolaty color.

It looks even better with SensatioNail's Gel Matte Top Coat

This color made me think of hot chocolate, which is another thing I love about Autumn, so I added this cute mug and heart design from GoGoOnly St.Happy plate. The heart image made me think of those cool designs that people draw in their hot drinks, I think its called latte art.

Don't forget to follow SensatioNail on Instagram for a chance to win the giveaways!

FingerPaints Tis the Season To Sparkle

FingerPaints Tis the Season to Sparkle is a limited edition collection for the 2015 holiday season.

Vintage Vincent is a shimmery teal.
I don't have any colors quite like this in my collection, I'm really loving it
Its not the typical color you might think of for a holiday collection, but I like that it was included.
I like the out of the box selection of this shade and it goes quite well paired with the next color.

Be Merry & Sparkle is a clear base loaded with various sizes of teal, gold and blue hex glitters.

Romanesque Rouge is a berry red creme.

Sterling Sculpture is a clear base loaded with various sized silver glitters.

Golden Glaze is a gold foil with golden micro glitters

Tinsel & Tidings is a clear base with various size gold, blue and pink glitters and large gold square glitters.
All of the glitters applied wonderfully, no fussing with any of them, they applied generously without having to dig around trying to fish out glitters.

You can find this collection at your local Sally Beauty Supply store.

OPI Starlight Collection

Once again Preen.Me and OPI have partnered up, this time to launch the Starlight Collection.
I was selected to be sent six of the shades from the collection, so that I could share swatches and create nail art for you.

*this post will be picture heavy

I Drive a SuperNova is a shimmery metallic silver.

Is this Star Taken? is a metallic silver loaded with holographic bar glitter.
I decided to apply this with a sponge because when I applied it straight out of the bottle using the brush, it became clumpy and wouldn't smooth out with top coat.

Ce-less-tial is More is a mix of rose gold and holographic textured glitter.

No More Mr. Night Sky is a shimmery charcoal color with a hint of purple.

Guys & Galaxies is a vampy oxblood shade.

Ro-Man-ce on the Moon is a shimmery metallic red.

For my first look using these colors I decided to do some stamping over a gradient.

I started with a gradient using OPI I Drive a SuperNova and No More Mr. Night Sky

I then stamped using Born Pretty plate BPL-024 and OPI's Guys & Galaxies.

Here is a close up of plate BPL-024, which you can purchase by click here

For my second look, I decided to upload a quick video tutorial, seen below

My base is OPI Ro-Man-ce on the Moon, stamped with OPI

Scorpio is from October 23-Nov21

Topaz is a bright yellow glitter.
It starts out sheer but can be built up, the above photo is four thin coats.
