It Cosmetics Eye shadow Trio: Pretty in Nudes

On a daily basis I like to keep my eye makeup simple and natural, and this trio is the perfect everyday choice for me.  They apply and blend flawlessly, feel and look great, and  last all day. It Cosmetics is known for having anti-aging benefits in their products and this trio is no different.

The package has a rubberized feel, the top opens up to the shadows and the bottom opens up, has a spot for applicators and a mirror

Love, a matte nude pink; Warm Glow, a shimmery soft peach; Honey Glow, a soft shimmery suede

Here is a great natural everyday look using Honey Glow along with Romance from the Luxe Palette.

Valentine's Day glitter gradient

Today is day 10 of my Sensationail gel manicure and I wanted to share with you a way that you can deal with signs of nail growth.

As you can see there is a bare area by my cuticles where my nails have grown, I have been wanting to try a glitter gradient  and I thought now would be a great time to give it a try to cover up my nail growth and keep my gel manicure on for a few more days.

For the gradient I used China Glaze Scattered and Tattered and LA Girl Splat, I concentrated the most amount of glitter at the cuticles to get good coverage where my nail was bare and then lightly dragged my brush towards the free edge of my nail to get a gradient effect. I think this worked great to conceal any signs of nail growth and allows me to get more wear time from my gel manicure. This would also make a great Valentine's Day look with the pretty red glitters.

Rose Hearts

To get in the spirit of the month of Love, I decided to add some stamping to my Sensationail manicure.

Using Sinful Colors Snow Me White, I stamped these romantic rose hearts using Mash 39 plate.

I know a lot of people say they don't want to try gel manicures because they think they will get bored wearing the same color for 2 weeks, but the beauty about gel polish is that I can stamp over it and remove with non acetone polish and it won't affect my underlying gel manicure at all, so I have options to change the look of nails without changing my entire manicure. If I decided that I want my nails to remain stamped until I want to remove my gel manicure, all I would do is add the base and top coat and cure for 30 seconds to seal in my design, but otherwise, just use a normal top coat.

By the way, the above photo is  day 7 and my manicure still looks exactly the same.

Sensationail Starter Kit: Pink Chiffon

I have been wanting to try Sensationail for quite some time, so I was very excited when Sensationail invited me to become an ambassador! The starter kit comes with everything you need to get an at home gel manicure, the steps are simple, fast and the results are amazing.

I have no experience with gel polish, so I'm a newbie, but honestly all you need to know how to do is polish your nails, the rest is so easy.

Start with clean unpolished nails, then:

     1. Lightly buff your nail

2. Clean your nails with the gel cleanser, using a lint free wipe

3. Apply a coat of gel primer
for easier removal of your manicure, apply sparingly to the outer edges of your nail

4. Apply a thin layer of gel base and top coat, cure under light for 30 seconds (there will be a beep at 30 seconds, and shut off at 60 seconds)
be sure to cap the free edge of your nail

5. Apply a thin layer of the color, cure under light for 60 seconds

6. Apply second coat of color if needed, cure under light for 60 seconds

7. Apply a final coat of gel base and top coat, cure under light for 30 seconds

8. Using lint free wipes, clean your nail with the gel cleanser.

It seems like a lot of steps, but it really goes by quick once you get going. Sensationail suggests you do both of your thumbs together, then go onto the four other fingers on each hand together.

No worries about bumping your nails and wrecking your hard work, they will be completely dry, as soon as you are done curing.

Pink Chiffon is a gorgeous milky pink cream color, I usually don't wear pink polish, but this color is perfect

I've already been wearing this manicure for 5 days and it looks exactly the same, still shiny and looking like fresh from the salon nails, I will update you as time goes on
