Swatch: Zoya Ki

The last few manicures I've posted about have been done using duochromes, so I thought now would be a great time to share another gorgeous one. I ordered this beauty from Zoya's Earth Day promo, Zoya Ki is a chameleon, you see a different color every time you look at her. Even with so many other duochrome polishes out there, for me, Ki is still very unique.

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Over A Skittle Base

This week's Sunday Stamping challenge is to stamp over a skittle base, I chose to use 5 of the 6 colors from the Bohemian Collection. I used a few of these colors for last weeks challenge and I rediscovered how much I love this collection, so I had to use them again.

From thumb to pinkie,  Deviantly Daring, No Plain Jane, Want my Bawdy, Unpredictable and Swanky Silk, I stamped with BM-208 using Wet 'n' Wild black crème.

I knew I wanted to use these colors but I had no idea what I was going to stamp over them, after I finished painting all my nails I got my inspiration. While looking at my nails being all different colors, the first thing that came to mind was how they looked like abstract art. I went through all of my plates and when I saw the image of what reminded me of shattered glass, I knew it would match perfectly with my idea of creating abstract art. It came out exactly as I had pictured in my mind, so I'm happy with the results.

Apple Blossoms

I have mentioned in the past that my husband is in the Air Force, so we currently live in Las Vegas, but I am from a small town in Upstate New York and its known for having a lot of apple orchards. This time of year is when the trees bloom and its something from home that I miss terribly. Driving by an apple orchard when the trees are blooming, with the windows rolled down, ahhhhh the smell is heavenly. This past weekend the town I'm from celebrated with an Apple Blossom Festival and in honor of the celebration, since I couldn't be there, I decided to do an Apple Blossom manicure.

The base is NYC Skyline Blue, the branches are stamped with China Glaze IX, using Mash plate 37 and the blossoms are stamped with a mixture of China Glaze White Out and China Glaze City Siren, using plate BM-313

I love how it looks like a watercolor painting, I am very pleased with how this turned out.

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Inspired by your favorite fairy tale

This week's Sunday Stamping challenge is to create a manicure inspired by your favorite fairy tale. I am fascinated by Mermaids, I have a great love for the Ocean and just imagining that there is an underwater Kingdom far below the surface intrigues me, so for me, my absolute favorite fairy tale is, The Little Mermaid. For some people this manicure may not scream The Little Mermaid, but I wanted to keep this more true to my style, so this is just my interpretation of her. I really love how this turned out and I hope you do too.

The base is a gradient of China Glaze Rare and Radiant, Unpredictable and Want my Bawdy, topped with Sally Hansen Glass Slipper,I stamped with Mash Plate 39, using Wet 'n' Wild Black Crème

Taken in the shade, you can see more of the "scale" effect from Glass Slipper's flakies

Just for fun, I decided to add some glitter that also reminded me of fish scales, so here it is with one coat of China Glaze Make a Spectacle

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Over a lilac base

This week's Sunday Stamping challenge is to stamp over a lilac base, I am very excited about this manicure, I just love how it came out! I hope you love it as much as I do.

Base is China Glaze Get Outta My Space, stamped with Color Club Wild at Heart using RA-119 plate

Taken in the shade

I seriously could not stop taking pictures of this manicure and then I couldn't decided which ones to post, so I just went ahead and posted them all, I'm sure you guys don't mind.

These 2 colors go so well together, ahhhhh so pretty, they seriously were made for each other, although you do lose the holo effect of Wild at Heart once its stamped, its still the most gorgeous purple ever.

Color Club Wild at Heart

As you guys can probably tell by now, I'm currently obsessing over holographic polish, to add to my collection, I picked up Color Club Wild at Heart. It is a very deep purple holo, the holographic effect isn't as in your face as Beyond and Eternal Beauty, but that doesn't make it any less gorgeous. This kind of deep purple is one of my favorites, if you read my blog regularly, you know that I love any shade of purple, but I tend to be drawn to darker colors overall.
